Due to Eagle Plumbing submitting incorrect information on an inspection to sell our home, we lost the sale on the house and we ended up having to sell the house for less money
The person that completed the inspection stated on the inspection that the boiler for our heating system was not the correct one and would need to be replaced. This boiler had been installed by a different plumbing business just two years prior. Eagle also quoted a price to replace the boiler that was higher than what we had paid for the original installation along with upgrades to meet code requirements.
Our normal plumbing business stood by their installation, the boiler manual states it is appropriate for a steam heat system, and we had a third party plumbing business complete a separate inspection who also states our current boiler was indeed the correct one. Thanks for the loss of several thousand dollars!
After speaking of this problem with Eagle Plumbing to people in the community we have found most people also have complaints about poor customer service, over pricing, and poor plumbing service!

Eagle Plumbing and Heating came to look at my hot water furnace system and said it would take several days to fix and cost thousands of dollars in what I later learned from a different plumber was completely unnecessary work. Luckily I got a second opinion and excellent service from another firm, who fixed the problem in one call by turning a knife switch on the auto-recharge system open, tightening some fittings, and replacing a few bleeder valves. Eagle's plumber didn't understand the furnace system and spent hours learning it, tracing the flow of the pipes, and not fixing the problem. He said the furnace needed to be re-plumbed and that the whole glycol system needed to be drained and refilled at significant expense, potentially $1,000 or more. He then left the auto-refill system in the off position, which filled the upstairs portion of the system with air so all the radiators stopped heating. Then the tech made promises he didn't keep on calling back to schedule another appointment, and not sending me a manual for my furnace confirming that it was plumbed backwards. (The manufacturer in fact said that the furnace functions just fine in its current configuration.) The bill for all this info and not fixing the problem was $175. As a result I felt like I was being taken advantage of and ended up seeking out another company that could do a better job. Be warned Eagle plumbers will disparage work by other firms, and inflate the work they say needs to be done, especially if you are inexperienced with heating systems. I've seen in other people's homes where Eagle cut corners on plumbing that they knew would be covered up behind sheetrock, leaving problems that would crop up in the future. Bottom line, they sound professional on the phone, and their trucks look pretty with all their branding, but they don't seem to keep their word and give the impression that they are out for your money. I expect Eagle will wonder why I didn't contact them to make my concerns known, but if they don't get it right the first time, they've already missed their chance to make it right.

If you have to deal with Vickie find another company--there are a number of other companies in Laramie who want your business. Not a real value centric company--they think that they have the market cornered so you are just an non-relavent component

We had a problem with commercial plumbing - a pump station that was on the fritz. Nick came out and got it sorted out very professionally. I would recommend Eagle to anyone.

The guy who responded to a Christmas Evening call was rather rude and demanding in his attitude, a self-important type. He made sure that although the toilet tank in question only needed a quick cleaning out of some deposits from the blue tablets we use in the tank, he lasted the hour for the $103 that would be charged: by changing the main pump. It wasn't malfunctioning, it was just "old," as he put it. The toilet was fine except for the deposits which needed cleaning out. I didn't like his attitude. Also didn't like his protracting a simple trip into the full hour to make the $103 -- at least that was my impression of why he stayed that long.

The poor rating is for customer service. We recently had the furnace in our rental property repaired. When the invoice came in, it was DOUBLE what we had been quoted. When our property manager called to find out why, it was because they had found more that need repair. I understood that because it is an older furnace. However, I felt we should have been notified of the huge increase in cost. I called the repair office directly and was told " we don't give prices unless they are requested". REALLY?!!! They had told the property manager they needed more parts but failed to mention the more than double cost. Thus, it was the property manager's fault for not asking the price. Terrible customer service. You honestly think that someone doesn't want to know that their bill will be more than twice as much as you told them it would be? We are talking $500 not $20. Will never do business here again if I can help it.
