It is what it is. An old school hot springs in Wyoming. We enjoyed our stay here, and the warm cookies from the front desk as an added bonus. The service at the front desk, bar and breakfast were phenomenal. Honestly it was the service that bumped my rating from a 3 to a 4 star.
It was nice having a bar attached to the property. The lodge entry is really cute and cozy. Perfect to bring a book and curl up to read in front of the fireplace.
The walls were paper thin, which explained the ear plugs lying on the desk. The room itself is small, simple and clean. They have a sign stating "please pardon our beloved historical building." That the building was constructed at a time when wall insulation didn't take into consideration volume control. They decided not to update the walls. It's okay, as long as you go in with these expectations. We would come back.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Bill H.Mountain View, WY642Mar 31, 2023
Stayed here a couple years ago with family. Room was small, dirty, bathroom was dingy. Super thin walls. No joke: there were free earplugs in the room because the walls are so thin. The attached craft brewery wasn't terrible, so I suppose there's that.
Didn't try the hot springs as they looked suspiciously green.
Way, way overpriced for what you get. If you absolutely, positively find yourself forced to stay overnight somewhere in the vicinity of Saratoga, save your money and your sanity and stay at a decent chain motel in Rawlins, which is about a 45-minute drive. At least they have standards.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David M.Lafayette, CO12952Jul 14, 2023
Don't stay here if you want to sleep. The walls are very thin. The first thing you get when you enter your room is ear plugs.
The pizza at the restaurant taste like it was frozen and they put it in an oven. The beer was good.
BOTH of the treadmills were not working. The fitness facility is old and not kept up.
When someone closed a door for their room the row of rooms shakes. This is a motel and definitely not worth the price they charge.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melanie W.Cheyenne, WY064Feb 22, 2023
We had such a relaxing night here at the hot springs . We plan on visiting again . I do believe they should be more strict on children out by the hot tubs late at night as kids were cannonballing by our hot tub while we were trying to relax.

My stop here for the Healing Waters Spa was fantastic! Absolute top-notch massage and reiki experience with Natasha. The setting was very clean, comfortable, & soothing. Topping it off was a visit to the resort hot springs. The property was clean, and not super crowded which allowed for a really relaxing time, spaced out. This is a really nice spot in Saratoga, with the river and a brewery next door. Cant wait for a l other trip out here!

We have stayed here quite a few times so we knew that it's not the cleanest, newest or fanciest place. But this time we got room a king suite, because the two-bed rooms were sold out. The pull out mattress on the sofa bed was horrid. Literally my children were falling into the middle of it. The room is on a corner where everyone walks by constantly to enter the main building, so blinds need to be closed at all time to avoid being on display like a zoo animal, which makes the sofa room really sad and dark. In addition, people smoke cigarettes right there so windows must remain shut unless you enjoy second hand smoke. On a typical lovely cool early summer night, windows open is a treat, so that was a disappointment. The bathroom desperately needs an update. It's on the verge of being scary. Lastly, the restaurant used to have pretty good food but dinner was terrible. Tasteless, lukewarm food. Cheese-like substance on the nachos. Stomach was upset all night after eating here. Gave two stars because the staff is nice and we love the hot pools. Oh, and the best part is we paid over 350 bucks for this room. We have paid less to stay in a luxury hotel in Vegas. Next time we are checking out another hotel and using the free Hobo hot pools instead.

"It's like stepping back in time." That was my first thought when entering the lobby. Whether you view this as a good thing or a bad thing probably predicts how you'll regard your stay. Our snowmobiling-centric stay was unequivocally good, and we would stay again.
The cost of snowmobile rental was the best I found anywhere; coupled with "February Special" room pricing, it was almost like renting a snowmobile in Colorado and getting the room for free. Cool. We rented a separate room for our two kids and it worked out very well. I received email confirmation for our rooms, but not for the snowmobiles or our dog's kennel.
The room was clean overall. Housekeeping forgot to supply shampoo but did remember to leave an envelope for tips. The beds are kind of short. I'm just under 6'2" and my feet were always in contact with the footboard. The bathrooms are not heated, but they warm up while you're showering. The shower is good and plenty hot.
The dog kennel was good; the enclosed part is insulated and completely enclosed, separated from the open/fenced part by a weighted plastic flap. Unless things are really severe, I don't think the addition of a $5/day heating pad is necessary if you bring a dog bed. That was good because the check-in girl didn't seem to know anything about that option.
We were there on the weekday that the Resort cleans its pools. The large pool was indeed clean, but the hotter mini-pool-inside-a-teepee had a lot of algae drifting around. It's probably harmless, but we didn't like it.
The "February Special" included a couple of beer tokens (that we only got upon request). IMO criticism of the local brewery is silly; "Beam Me Up Scotty" scotch ale was a very tasty and drinkable beer. My wife chose different beers but liked hers too.
The snowmobiles don't have any enclosed space for storage, but do have a rack that will work well if you have bungee cords. No map was provided, but you really don't need one; most (but not all) trail intersections have a map posted that shows where you are. On our 8-hour ride, we got lunch and refueled our machines midday at Albany Lodge, and refueled later at a pump that is literally right next to the snowmobile drop-off spot. I asked if the hand-warmers were working and was told that they were, but on my machine (#T12), the left driver's side hand-warmer didn't work. The passengers also have heated grips to hold on to (and they worked). I really liked that they were not sticklers about being back exactly at 5:00p. However, I never really got a chance to mention a few mechanical problems that my machine had.
Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and that goes a long way toward an enjoyable stay. I had a mistaken impression from photos and reviews that the Resort was little more than a cheap motel next to a hot-spring pool, but it's much more, and much nicer, than that. We look forward to visiting again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian J.Sterling, VA106511Nov 5, 2022
The hot springs pool was nice, the people friendly enough. The restaurant ok. Not bad place for sure. Very much old style hotel rooms. For me it's way way over priced. But we did have a nice stay. Just to expensive for what they offer

My partner and I have stayed here three times now and we love it! The resort is a great escape from the bustle of the city - we always leave feeling very relaxed. The lodging is kitchy/rustic style and while the rooms aren't fancy they are clean and have everything you need for a cozy stay. If you adjust your expectations and understand this is not a 5-star luxury resort, you'll enjoy your stay here. It's all about the hot springs anyway - the pools are fantastic! Not sure what's up with reviews saying the pools are dirty, but I've never found that to be the case and we soak multiple times/day while visiting. They are natural pools, so there is sometimes some algae, but the pools are cleaned regularly and there is a variety of temperatures to choose from.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the pub. And it's nice to spend time in either the indoor or outdoor common areas especially when there is a fire in one of the several impressive fireplaces (you're invited to build a fire if one isn't going). Prior to covid, we've enjoyed the large chess/checkers board near the pub and the pool table but those are understandably closed now.
It's nice having a restaurant and bar on site. The food is nothing to write home about, but they have some creative twists on bar food classics plus the beer brewed on site is top notch. I highly recommend the Oktoberfest, Dark Medicine and White Buffalo. There are also some great dining options nearby, including Bella's Italian and Firewater Public House.
We are always sad to leave and look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend Saratoga Hot Springs Resort!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
