I would give zero stars, but it won't let me. This place is the worst. They left me waiting for more than 40 minutes in the parking lot even though I had a specific appointment to pick up my Uhaul. This happened twice in just a week. I had to change my whole day of plans due to their negligence. The second time, I was assaulted by the owner's fat beer belly. A very hateful man with no customer service skills. He then refused to rent to me because I made a statement about his going on and on about how he wasn't making but $1.40 on my rental. He was already mad about an employee calling in sick on Labor Day, and obviously took it out on me. I had to hear about this for several minutes, and how Biden gives away free money and people don't want to work. I didn't come there to listen to him complain about his employees or get a lesson in politics. He also helped one of his buddies before me, even though he knew I was there before them. He just ignored me. When he refused to rent to me, I stood in the doorway of his disgusting, grungy office and he pushed me through the doorway with his big fat beer belly. I was basically assaulted. I'm a senior citizen, and have never in my entire life been treated so horribly. These people should not be in business. From the other reviews I've read, other people think the same thing. DO NOT give this rude jerk your business. From the other reviews I've read, the towing aspect of his business is just as bad, and he is apparently rude to everyone. How does someone like this stay in business? For your towing needs, I recommend Laramie Towing. Their driver was so kind and helpful when he towed my vehicle last winter. They know the meaning of Customer Service, unlike A-1 Recovery.

Real dirt bag operation here. Use someone else. Anyone else. Professional scammers. Owner is rude and misleading.

The other evening, I was in Laramie, WY visiting a friend. I parked across from the university in a parking lot where I saw absolutely no marking indicating it was a tow zone. Regardless, I went to the parking lot and my car had been towed, as well as my friends. We took an Uber to the location, and were greeted with absolutely terrible service. Each of us being just freshmen in college, we'd never run into a situation like this before. He was incredibly rude and demanded we pay in cash. As neither of us had our vehicles, we walked for 20 minutes to an ATM an 20 minutes back to the location. My tow bill was a whopping $220. Just taking our cash, he did not perform a proper transaction nor did he give either of us receipts and led us out to the lot. After further examination upon getting home, I'd realized that my car's undercarriage was severely damaged. I was terribly disappointed. Overall: THIS MAN PROVIDED TERRIBLE SERVICE, DAMAGED MY VEHICLE, AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF TWO ILL INFORMED COLLEGE STUDENTS, DEMANDING CASH, AND NOT PERFORMING A PROPER TRANSACTION :(

We were driving a large Uhaul truck with a trailer and broke down outside Laramie, WY. A-1 Recovery were on-site to assist us within an hour of calling the Uhaul 1-800 number. They towed us to our new home in Cheyenne so we could unload. They retrieved the truck and trailer the next day after we called them to report that we had finished unloading.
They were friendly and super helpful.

Do not do business with this place. My 17 year old son had an accident on I-80 in Laramie on April 1st. This place towed his vehicle only a few miles to their business, and then wanted to charge $750 for the tow! Since the car was totaled, in order to make even more money, the place said they would waive the $750 charge if my son signed over the title to the car. I'm sure they made $1000-$3000 selling the parts for the car. This place has had other bad reviews and is, in my opinion, taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable situations.

Horribly rude customer service. Had a vehicle get towed off the high way btwn Laramie and Ft Collins while I was out of town, 6/28/18. The same "gentlemen" was incredibly rude over the phone and absolutely refused to give a balance after multiple phone calls, said I'd have to wait and see when I got there, even as I called on my way home from DIA he flat refused, gave me a rough estimate. Childish and ridiculous way to run a business. I cannot believe this person is allowed to interact with customers.

If I could give A-1 0 stars I would! I parked across the street from the university in a parking lot that CLEARLY had no markings indicating it was a tow away zone. My friend and I had both parked in the same parking lot, when we came back, both of our vehicles were gone. A very rude man with no manners from the business informed us we could get our cars back for $20 and all we would have to do is go down there, pay, and then we could be on our way. My friend and I took an Uber to the location were greeted by one of the most unpleasant people I have ever met. He demanded that we each pay $220 cash only to get our cars. He dismissed us quickly and refused to talk to us until we came back with the money. My friend and I walked 20 minutes to an ATM and then walked back to the location. When back, he snatched our money as fast as he could, did not preform a transaction whatsoever and did not give us any form of receipt. He then led us out to the lot, both of our cars have had troubles since. Her car with significant damage to the undercarriage. Terribly disappointed that this man took advantage of two ill informed college students. OVERALL: THIS MAN IS A CON ARTIST, HE RIPS PEOPLE OFF AND WILL DO WHATEVER HE CAN DO MAKE A QUICK BUCK. NOTHING BUT RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL

This place really hooked us up. We were driving across the country in a Uhaul, carrying a boat, when our AC became increasingly intermittent. A few phone calls and a referral later, we were speaking with Shane here at A-1 Recovery. He was super helpful, able to work on it at 7:30 am to get us on the road faster, and even offered some hints on where to get the best coffee and cheapest gas in town. Highly recommend!
