As industry professionals, especially when embarking on uncharted territory, being able to share success stories with others is priceless! This kind of "show and tell" never gets old! On April 25th, our trailblazers Lisa Miller, President of Noddle Architecture, and Ashley Byars, Vice President of Noddle Architecture, gave a tour of Omaha's first hybrid timber office building for members of Nebraska Women in Architecture! Alongside Kiewit and HDR, they discussed the unique design and precision required to make this collaborative project work! A huge thank you to HDR, Kiewit, and the 40+ members of Nebraska Women in Architecture!

We've been having a blast! Early 2024 has been full of new smiles, great moments, and stellar opportunities. Alas, when many great things are received, there is much to give back! Last week, our president of Noddle Architecture, Lisa Miller, and VP of Development, Todd Swirczek, shared their expertise with a group of Benson High School students on the Architecture track! They discussed design, community planning, and even financing. Don't worry—we didn't bore them, and when you're getting pizza from the brand-new Tiny's Pizza Joint in the Inner Rail, it's kind of hard not to have a good time!

🎄Holiday season is among us 🎁 All of us at Noddle Companies pitched in to help give the happiest of holidays to the folks at the Open Door Mission, Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha, and the Stephen Center, Inc! A huge thanks to Li Quaites for running the show alongside Teri Stander and Kyndra Hasemann in these photos! We know there’s always a HUGE team behind the scenes though. We’d list every single Noddle member who supported this effort… but then we’d run out of characters for this post!! Over the years, we've gotten used to spreading a lot of holiday cheer. Even through the ebbs and flows of a changing team - our ability at Noddle Companies to come together and focus on sharing within our community has remained paramount. A special thanks to Li Quaites, who has remained a consistent face in our holiday photos over the years - often spearheading these efforts alongside Paul and Teri! Thank you for your leadership and skill in building community! The tradition continues. This year, the staff at Noddle Companies is pulling together gifts for three incredible organizations - Open Door Mission, Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha, and the Stephen Center. In deep and authentic support of these organizations, we've gathered toys, gifts, and food - from essentials to knick-knacks and everything in between. Photos of our 2023 effort are coming soon! Funny Coincidence: It is both Cranky Coworker Day *and* National Mentoring Day. It was fitting that we share some motivational words from Paul Dietsch, our Chief Operating Officer, a mentor with the TeamMates Mentoring Program, and an expert at sneaking a smile on just about any cranky coworker in the room. The takeaway: With hard work and confidence, you can do (just about) anything. Thanks for all you do, Paul!

We've heard a few great leaders say, "Anything you can do alone isn't big enough!" Well, the old adage is true. We've accomplished many great things, but it was always with an incredible team. We just finished topping out 1501 Mike Fahey - a trendsetter in its own right. It's the first known hybrid timber building in Omaha, nestled in the Builders District, an amenity-rich community offering retail, office, and healthy living. 1501 Mike Fahey is unfolding beautifully because of partners like Kiewit, HDR, Vaagen Timbers, Timberlyne Group, and the many collaborators in between. From GCs to subs, architects to engineers, Noddle teammates to everyday citizens who support our projects - Thank you. This work is impossible without you!

One of our favorite interns, Olivia Rowe, is saying her goodbyes today! She's heading back to her architecture program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! One thing we found particularly impressive, aside from her work, was the content of her character. When asked, "What was the most important thing you learned at Noddle Companies?" her response was this: "To have full confidence in whatever I'm doing because when I do, that's when I produce my best work!" We've loved having you, Olivia! You're a shining star, and we can't wait to see what you do next!
